TRANSCRIPT

Is America on its way to being a “post-Christian” society like England where churches are empty and being converted to night clubs, restaurants, and mosques?  Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum, says in his new book, Already Gone, that conservative evangelical churches in America are on their way to this kind of decline due to the fact that two-thirds of Christian young people will leave the church in their 20’s.

Why are so many departing the church?  You might think it springs from the well-documented “crisis of faith” that often takes place during the college years. According to many studies like the one in my book, University of Destruction, as many as 50% of professing Christian students will say they have “lost their faith” after four years in college.

But Ken Ham says the departure from the faith and the church begins much earlier in the elementary and middle school years.  How can that possibly be?

In Part 1 of my interview with Ken Ham on The Christian Worldview this Saturday, you will hear about the “Sunday School Syndrome” that is contributing to Christian young people actually having a less biblical worldview than their unchurched peers and what needs to be done to turn this alarming trend around.
