Guest: Leslie Frazier, head coach, Minnesota Vikings
“Therefore, I exhort the elders among you … shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God … proving to be examples to the flock” (1 Peter 5:1-3 portions).
“It’s the coach that makes all the difference.” So spoke Sam Mussabini, the idiosyncratic running coach immortalized in the Oscar-winning movie “Chariots of Fire”, to his understudy, British sprinter Harold Abrahams, who would go on to win the gold medal in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris.
A coach is a teacher is a parent is a pastor is a leader is a shepherd. The Bible is replete with instructions and examples that our “coaches” — those who teach and lead us — are critically important to our spiritual well being.
This Super Bowl weekend on The Christian Worldview Radio Program, Leslie Frazier, head coach of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, will join us to talk about how his walk with Christ directly impacts his leadership with men. And we will discuss how important it is for pastors and parents to take their responsibility as leaders very seriously.
