Nonsense! On the social side of things (something that liberal Christians claim to care about) Bush has done a terrific job. His fight for the unborn has been steady and should be praised… as should his efforts in Africa as well. After 911, which could have been avoided, had Clinton done something about Bin Laden when he had the chance, Bush took the fight to them… and kept us safe at home. We were at war before he even took office but Clinton pretended we weren’t. Bush has fought the fight elsewhere instead of here. As far as Iraq, Clinton was handed Saddam on a silver platter but was too busy watching interns to keep an eye on the weapon inspectors. Do you honestly think we would have gone into Iraq if Clinton hadn’t allowed the weapons inspectors to be kicked out? The biggest mistake Bush made was acting like a liberal on spending and growing the size of government. Bush was on the right side on abortion, homosexuality, the war on terror, but spent too much money. Obama is wrong on abortion, homosexuality, the war on terror and can’t wait to start spending. I’d say God help us… but why would He?

Oh, as far as Bush not being questioned, are you kidding?!? Bush’s Presidency was questioned before it even started and the libs never let up. It has been shameful how Bush has been attacked and maligned. Now if someone questions one of Obama’s liberal appointments they whine that he’s not being given a chance… give me a break.

Funny, you didn't mention that until "I" brought Clinton up. Clinton's ineptness on national defense is what set all of it in motion. If he took care of Bin Laden and kept Sadam in his place Bush doesn't have to get completely over-taken by 911. Do you think that just maybe part of the reason Bush compromised on his conservative values had something to do with not being able (and to some extent not willing) to fight the left on two fronts? But wait… you mentioned David Kuo. Funny thing, if you look up David's book on Amazon, three other books are suggested because the people that bought David's book bought these books as well, "Godly Republic: A Centrist Blueprint for America's Faith-Based Future", "American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America" and of course (drum roll please) "The Audacity of Hope". As near as I can tell David is ticked off because Bush didn't spend enough on the poor, which, (I hate to break it to you), isn't the job of government. If you, or David, or whoever, wants to take care of the poor… go do it… and use your own money or help the church to do so, but the government shouldn't be taking from one group of people to give to another. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Bush didn't do things wrong… he did, but the idea that the entire eight years has been disastrous, just doesn't square with reality. And the idea that Obama is somehow being more Christian because of his willingness to spend other peoples money on the poor is ridiculous, especially while not only turning a blind eye to the death of the unborn, he flat out encourages it!

As far as the next one being on Bush… that's as silly has suggesting that if we didn't do anything we would have less enemies in the world. When are people going to realize that hate/evil doesn't need an excuse. I have no doubt there will be another attack… you can bet on it. If for no other reason than Obama's naiveness/arrogance that makes him think he can talk anybody into anything. The only thing Biden said during the campaign that I agreed with was that Obama will be tested… he's pretty much guaranteed it.

No man is perfect. I have been disappointed with choices Bush has made, but who is to say that one man, in eight full years, can be totally faultless? Bush also had a basically democrat congress when pres, and THEY made the choice to declare war. There is definitely responsibility (HUGE responsibility) placed on the President of the United States, but, he can do nothing without the consent of congress.

Bush says the "right" things about "conservative" issues but his results have been neglible if non-existent, which leads me to believe it was about securing the evangelical vote, not about actually making this country a better place. And as you point out his spending (along with his cronyism, his ethics) made Clinton look done right conservative. He was in over his head, sold his soul to Dick Cheney and we are reaping the consequences.

When I said no criticism I meant from his evangelical base. They followed him hook, line and sinker and no criticism was allowed and some of the legitimate voices of critique were drowned out and made to go away (from Colin Powell to David Kuo and on and on and on)
